About the project
BESPOKE FOCUS ROOMS FOR PEACE AND CONCENTRATION
With the move to H-Park in Hilversum, AT Osborne opened a new chapter. The office radiates light, space and warmth — but above all: tranquillity. A quality to which Plan Effect contributed by delivering 17 fully bespoke focus rooms. Standalone pods designed for working, calling or taking a moment to retreat, featuring optimal acoustic performance and ventilation.
For the meeting pods, we worked closely with Gallo design & build, responsible for both design and realisation. The pods had to integrate seamlessly with the interior and be fully flexible in terms of dimensions and finishes. Each unit is unique, specified in the right colour, size and glass finish. A focus room that creates calm without compromising the open character of the office.
These bespoke spaces were developed around three recurring moments in the working day: focusing, calling and unwinding. Acoustics were crucial. The pods noticeably reduce sound the moment the door closes. Thanks to the silent, continuously operating ventilation system, the air remains fresh — even during prolonged use. No standard solutions, but precision-engineered craftsmanship.
REUSE AS A DELIBERATE CHOICE
Circularity played an important role in this project. In the new H-Park office, part of the existing interior was retained, including the familiar MONOBLOC double glazed partitions. A large portion of the furniture from the Baarn office was also relocated and carefully reintegrated into the new environment. This ensures continuity while contributing to sustainability. The interior feels new, yet remains recognisable and connected to its past.
